Busy Times

It has been very busy here at the Lodge. I have had so many irons in the fire lately and just can not seem to get my head above water. I have had plants sitting out in the yard for almost two weeks now and still have not gotten them planted. Time..........yes, I wish I had the mojo to go along with all the time but unfortunately my body gives out before my mind and time. I have been doing laundry all day today and ironing all morning.........gosh! I should have been someones maid. I think I am..........my own! You know I am my own enemy as I like things just so and that takes more time so therefore when one is so particular about things than it takes time.........right! Will I do have to say I have managed to get in some scrapping done at night just to unwind. I have managed to get done about 6 layouts and uploaded them to the gallery at Scrap Shanty. I have to tell you as well I found a new forum too that is nice and I am getting to know the ladies there as well and that is at Back Porch Memories. I have joined the kit club and I just received the June kit and it is awesome I can not wait to scrap some new layouts. Will I guess I have updated just a little but I do want to take some pictures once I get my plants all in so you can see my progress, so I will return and hopefully the plants will be in the ground.

Time.................

Where does it go? There is not enough in a day. I get up and it seems like I don't stop and here it is 11:30 at night and I am thinking of all I have to do tomorrow. So, I guess I will have to say good night and finish this chat at another time...................see it's gone already. Time!

Another Challenge!

Boy, you could take this title in more ways than one in my case these days, but in any case it's a challenge on the forum with Scrap Shanty. I do have to admit this was really a challenge for me trying to come up with a paper to being with the letter (R). Will first of all I should start out by telling you part 2 of the challenge was a spelling of your team partners name and my partners name is Trini so I thought (R) Reminisce patterned paper. Will there really is not allot to pick from in this line or if there is, not allot in Maine and than came another challenge for me, two (I's) will one was okay but the second one ..............what am I going to do? will I came up with index tab, that worked out; than came the (N) what starts with an (N) in scarpbooking that I can use? I even pm'ed Trini to get her advise and than I got advise from another scraping friend at a store I know and with my own thoughts, guess what? we all came up with the same thing. "Note" So I put a little (note) on side of the picture as if it came from Grandma. So anyway this is what I came up with. I have to say as long as I have been scrapbooking this is the second layout I can honesty say that I really just don't care for. I do not care for this line of paper at all and not for the fact of starting with the letter (R) it's the line. Well it's behind me now and hopefully I will move on but time will tell it always does, but it's all in a challenge.

Planting Bug...............

I have had the bug...........yes the bug, that is the planting one. I have been in high gear trying to get my plants in and I have to say I am half way there. This year I shopped around to get deals as things have gotten to be so expense and I have to say I got some great deals and did not have to travel any great distance. My best buys was at Lowe's. This is the first year we have had this store as it just opened approximately 6 months ago and I am just loving the garden section. My snow ball trees are just beautiful this year as well and I was really worried after the winter we had. I have got to get some weeding done in my perennial garden in front of deck but that is just totally awesome, my day lilies are huge and my rose bushes are coming up nice and straight and all so nice................I just love nature and watching things grow it is so inspiring and it makes me feel good inside.
Now I am in search of some sort of a perennial I can put in my whiskey barrels down by the lake for sun/shade and that the deer and the wild turkey's will not bother.........so this will be another challenge for me.

A New Challenge

I have entered into a June Challenge at Scrap Shanty and this one will run for the entire month. I was very happy to enter as it keeps me scrapping some during the summer. Summer I seem to slow down with my scarping as there is always so much to do outside with the flower gardens and my whiskey barrels that I plant and of course I like very much to mow my own lawn. Will getting back to the challenge, we had to partner up with another person, so I was very fortunate to partner with Trini (historymom) from Ohio. I love meaning new people. The first challenge was to do a scrap lift of one of Trini's layouts and I picked her Memorial Day layout "We Remember" and this is what I came up with. This is my girlfriends son Aiden and these pictures were taken on one of there vacations. Wanda always sends me his pictures to keep me updated on how much he has grown and just how much of a handsome little guy he is becoming. She tells me he loves to be outside and pretty much enjoys all weather.
