Going To Be Featured!

I am going to be featured..........can you believe it. Yes, I will be Scrap Shanty April Gal and below are the questions that I had to answer. I had lots of fun answering these. I am very pleased that Kathi asked me, and I also had to pick out my favorite layout and a picture of myself as well, there I went with a most recent one that was taken at Bradley's Wedding in September. I think it shows a little age!

Name: Judy Bilodeau (aka) Scrappyladydelight

Family: A true Mainer’ at heart I was very fortunate to have found a wonderful man and best friend, we meant on a blind date and have been married for over 18 years now. We live on the lake in East Winthrop, Maine with our pets 2 dogs and a cat, Chester, Sadie and Coco. I retired 3 years ago from the military and now I am a stay at home wife, and I so love it.

How I found the message board: Will I had visited the Scrapbook Chalet store where I had meant Laura and she introduce me to the Scrapbook Chalet forum. I was with the SC forum until it switched over to the Scrap Shanty and I have been here ever since. I just admire all you ladies you have become a very big part of my life with all your inspiration and talent.

Why I couldn't’t live without the message board: Will you get to know everyone on a first name basis and find yourself chit chatting about different things other than just scrapbooking. It is nice to be able to support others in good times and bad times; and it also nice to know that you have friends that you can talk to as well.

How (or why) I got into scrapbooking: I started scrapbooking 4 years ago with a bunch of girlfriends from the military. Every week one evening we would all get together at Marjean’s house and scrap for 3 hours or so. Once a month we would all take a class at the local LSS, where everyone knows your name……………….I do miss those days! Now here I am on my own.

How much my style has changed since I began scrapbooking: Oh, my land I think my style has changed tremendously since I began scrapbooking.

How much time I spend each week scrapping: Will I do manage to get sometime in every week, certainly it is not enough, there will never be enough time for me but I am thankful for whatever time I do get.

What it would take to keep me from scraping: Allot…………..

My level of scrapbooking addiction: Will I would have to say on a scale of 1 to 10, I am off well off the scale……………..very addicted!...............worst than chocolate.

My scrapbooking style: I would have to say I can be conservative but yet a little funky in a cute sort of a way. Sometimes, I like to get wild with flowers………..I love flowers!

My scrapbooking idol: I can not say I have an idol, I have several………..these ladies and gentleman are very talented.

The scrapbooking trend I love: I love it all. I can not say there is one thing that I don’t love about scrapbooking.

The scrapbooking trend I wish would end: I don’t want to end any of it. Unfortunately it ends on its own. The scrapbooking world is fast paced and product end of it is a very fast turn over.

My favorite scrap item: Cricut

My hardest to use scrap item: I can not really an item that is hard to use.

Who is your favorite manufacturer today:
Basic Grey?

What was your latest splurge:
Will I don’t really splurge I usually get whatever I need or if there is a large item I want to purchase I save up and than I just shop around to see where I can purchase it for less. I love watching sale flyer's and this is when I get my products and also those 40 and 50 percent coupons those are awesome.

My favorite layout and why I love it: “MY GUY”
This is a layout of my husband Paul, the love of my life. I had done this layout for a challenge along time back and it just came out so good and the colors and patterned paper it just all came together so good.

Three words to describe me: Respectful, Caring and Considerate

Been A While Since I Blogged

Yes, it has been awhile since I have been here. Have been very busy these past days with several things going on, and on top of that can you believe we just had another big snow storm Tuesday into Wednesday where we got 10 or so inches of snow. What a winter this has been. I have not seen this much snow in over 10years. One thing I do know, I will be glad to put this shovel up and know I don't have to use it again for a few months, of course that will be in about 6 weeks or so.........allot to look forward now isn't it. I just so love looking forward too things............can you imagine looking forward to putting up a snow shovel. Does not take much to amuse me now does it. Small mind! Just goes to show you just how tired I am of this stuff and how tired I am period.
I have not even had a chance to scrap in the past month, now that is very sad to have all you time so booked up that you don't have time to make a page. Well I know things have to get better sooner or later, I only hope it is sooner rather than later. Will it seems as if I have ranted enough tonight so I best move on to something else to ease the mind before going to bed or I won't sleep tonight. Well I am going to close for now and hopefully the mind will be in a much better state when I return, so farewell for now.

My Kids.......

Well, I had to come back and post a picture of Sadie after her bath but I could not post hers and not post Chester's as you can see he was ready for his picture to be taken as well. She is getting very comfortable in her surroundings and very voicous, this is one thing we are working on to break. Last night I slept in the spare bedroom with her as I am coming down with a cold and this did not go over well at all, she likes sleeping with Daddy and Chester, she sleeps all night and no barking. I have to tell you she does love Chester put she don't like him running in and out at night which he does until he gets his ice cream, she will run at him barking for him to go and sit down and he just looks at her like "what is your problem" it is cute but that bark is a little too much. But she does let me know when Chester is at the door and wants to go out.............so what do you do! She is just like me.............at least this is what Paul tells me............hormones!

The Pool..............Anyone For A Swim!

Now when do you think I will ever get into my pool? We usually open the pool in the middle of May but I don't see that happening..........it is half full of snow. The only thing I see happening here is snow angels. I took this picture from my deck off the bedroom because I am not tall enough to see over the pile of snow right now to get a clear shot other wise. Will I just had to come on back and post this picture to give you all a little laugh. But you know all joking aside the it is February and Mother Nature is only doing her busy and unfortunately this is the winter to get allot of snow, something we just have not seen in a few years and I myself would rather see this than allot of ice because it's very hard on people more so than the snow. Where I orginally grew up we got allot of ice because it's close to the Ocean........love the ocean, but we will get through it believe me, if there is a will there is a way............keep this in find. Have a super great day..............

More of the White Stuff (Gotta Love It)

This is looking to the left of my deck towards the apartment over the garage, the shrubs and tree is just load with snow. Can you imagine that fur tree in the back Paul and I planted about 6 years ago and look at it now. There is a road that goes right down around the lake so in the summer you drive right on down, I have whiskey barrells that I plant flowers in and we have a fireplace down there plus we put our canoe on the rack to use, can you see why I love my home......serenity is worth so much in life. Will I still have to post you another picture so I am going to run on out and come right back this last picture.............you will like this one..................

It's Just Not Stopping (Snow)

These are pictures of out front of my house facing the cove. I went upstairs and took them from the deck in my bed room so you could get a good ideal of just how much snow we have been getting this past week, but where live we lie right in a snow belt, today we was not surpose to get any snow.......how about that! Just can not wait to get out the shovel..............I must be nuts in the head or it's the sinus head cold I have come down with that is clouding my thinking. You look through the trees and that is the cove out there all white in the back groung.............it truly is beautiful in the summer, but I can not say it not beautiful right now because I do love my home............will I am come right back with some more pictures so stay right there.........don't move...........

Another Snowy Day In Maine

Another snowy day in Maine, the third day in a row. I was so hoping to put my shovel away for a day or so but no such luck. Can you believe we are suppose to get more snow Saturday into Sunday as well........how cool is that! I have to tell you something, we have a new addition to our house hold, a little 7 year old Toy Poodle her name is Sadie, and she is buff color and what a love. I am taking Sadie tomorrow to have a bath and new bow for her hair and than I will take some pictures to share with you all. Gosh if this does not read properly I am watching this awesome show while I am typing......I only wish I knew the name of it........it has too do with White Water Rafting. I just seen the name of the movie "The River Wild" would like to see that from the beginning, so hate it when I see a movie at the tail end. Will I have to get ready for bed, I am coming down with this head cold and not feeling to much up to myself tonight so I will bide you a fair well for now and return very soon.....................
I just had to come back and post a picture of Sadie, now bare in mind she has not had her bath yet. She came to me with the stains by her eyes but all that will come off and than I will get some solutions to keep it clean so she won't look like she is sad..........I am just loving her. This is where she and I have our quiet time on the love seat and also our nap in the afternoon. She loves to snuggle...................Having a ball here with my little baby but bare in mind I still have my big love Chester and I still have too show equal amount of attention and love..............

Happy Ground Hogs Day

Will I guess it is about time I get on my blog and update a little. First of all I want to wish you all a Happy Ground Hogs Day and I do believe we will be having 6 more weeks of winter. Are you surpised? Will it does have to run it's course like anything else. Now too the matter at hand. Paul had his doctors appointment yesterday with the Oncolgoist and he does not have to go back until April, which at that time he will have to have another CT Scan, Bone Scan and blood work. His Bone Scan this trip showed start of degenative joint diease at T7 and the other test came back just fine as well. I am so happy for him, he has been through so much the past several months. Will last night during we lost our power about 12:15 just when I was getting ready for bed will I continued on my merry way and at 3am Paul woke me up to help him get the generator going, as the house was so cold. Will we got up and running and he proceed to clean the decks all off at 3:45 in the morning I curled up on the couch with Chester and put a movie in the VCR and covered over I was cold. It was just like a small ice storm outside, what a mess. We did not get the power back until 6:30am. What a blessing that generator is I will tell you it takes care of the whole house and apartment. Will I guess I have updated you somewhat on a few things but it is getting late and I have to get up early in the morning to get ready for church so I am going to have to bide you all a good night..............
