The Rain is Gone..........

We got so much rain over the weekend it was just terrible but I am thankful that we did not get the wind the weather bureau was predicting. I was watching the news this morning and they really got allot of bad rain and winds in Lubec and Eastport area. Lubec is where I grew up many years ago and most of my family still leaves there. The weather for us is very over cast and you can feel the fall air is coming in; but all I can say is I am glad the rain is gone..........

Sunday......

Good evening all! Finally a chance to jot down a few lines of my happenings here at the Lodge. Will for starters I finally got a chance to scrap for an hour or so yesterday.....can you believe it! I must say it felt nice. I have to tell you I truly get lost in this world of scraping, my mind just goes with the flow and I am so relaxed. What therapy! I manage to finish putting the paper on one book I am doing and started another. The first is a Family book and the second is a Fall book. I have so many projects going, 4 books 1 birthday recipe box and several layouts too get started to go along with the projects that I have going. To think I have not scrapped but 3 to 4 layouts all summer it is awful. I am making myself a pledge to scrap at least a layout a day, hopefully some days I will get more done but I have to start somewhere in order to get a jump on things. My goal is to get allot of these little projects finished up over the winter months. Will I have to say it was nice to chat a little about scraping with you all and hopefully I will have some picture uploaded soon to show you. Well a great evening to all.............

My Outing............

Will today I had to leave the house.....what ashame. I love being at home. Unfortunately I had to made a trip into Augusta and do my weekly watering of the plants at the garage and at the house in town and pick up Marie's pills at Wally World. You know going to Wally World on a Saturday is like going to Woodstock everyone in the country is there..............unreal! and on top of that they are having a car wash in the parking lot......what a place for someone to have an accident or get run over. Will while I was in the area, I thought I will go into Michael's and look around as they was having a good sale on Cricut Cartridges so I picked one up "Joys of the Season" as the holidays is just around the corner and I may get in the mood to make some cards. After my little my little purchase I came along Winthrop and ordered some Chinese food supper thought I would go all out tonight, didn't feel like cooking, so this was going to be easy, didn't get my little nap in the afternoon and I was tired and just wanted my PJ's and the couch. So here I am watching House and caughting you all up on my day in which I really did not get much done at all, but did enjoy some sun and fall air......and Dunkin Donut ice coffee.

Purina Diet..........Yes in deedy!

Yesterday I was at my local Target buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Chester, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog? What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ass and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Target won't let me shop there anymore. Better watch what you ask retired people.

When Kelli sent this to me I immediately thought about you. It sounds like something you would pull hahahaha love you lots hopefully you got a kick out of it.

Now I recieved this from my niece.....and you know before starting any diet you must check with your doctor...
All in good humor and a good laugh.....hugs to all!

One of my favorite places to visit....

West Quoddy LighthouseWest Quoddy Head, eastern most point in the United States. In the back ground those are the banks of Grand Manan. This is located in the town that I grew up in many years ago and I always try to go and visit when I take a trip home to visit my family.

Been A While Since I Blogged...Again!

Where has the time gone? I can not believe it has been since August and I have not even came into my blog and wrote anything.......how rude! Will fall is in the air, the trees are turning and the pool is closed. Another summer has come and gone; where did it go? It has become so hard to keep up with time lately. I don't even have a new layout to share with you all. I think I have maybe taken a half dozen pictures all summer. I was looking forward to going to Kent's hill to the Apple Orchard but I never made it there this year. I usually go and pick a couple of bags of apples for us and Paul's parents; it's fun picking your own apples, hadn't done that for many years until last year. Will today we had a very windy day, tail end of winds from the hurricane of Ike got the rain on Sunday but at least the sun was out so it was not all bad. Will I have been doing some exploring of new scrapbooking blogs getting some new creative thoughts and ideals trying to get myself in the mood to scrap. I have found some very interesting blogs with some awesome cards which I look forward to giving them challenge. Will I am going to finish up with my little session here and try to do better with my postings and get back to my scraping as well, so here is looking to the bright side of the blog and scraping worlds I enjoy them both so very much.........and sharing them as well.
