Tom's visit.....

I had a visitor yesterday morning...I was standing at the sink ironing and happen to look out the window and took a double take as one would say. I said to myself looking through some of the shrub as well boy that looks like a "Tom", will I walked slowly to the breezeway window and looked out, sure enough it was. Look at this!....what a picture I was able to get. This is right in my driveway. His hens are up by the bird feeder eating, there was about four of them there chowing down. I put out a mixer of crack corn and sunflower seeds most everyday, unless it rains but I have suet out all the time for my birds.

New Baby......

News in the family....so I am using a neutral color as we don't know yet what the baby is. Kiersten is due in November. This is my youngest sister Sherry son's girlfriend. She is just a peach you can not help but just love her to pieces. Here is a picture of them taken at Crystal's over the weekend. They live in St. John, NB, Ryan works for Canadian Customs. They both are very excited and we are all so very happy for them. I can not believe Sherry is going to be a grandmother....will I can. Will you know what I mean. Hard to believe these kids have grown up and are having kids....guess that means I am really getting old....hehehehe. Oh well...part of life's greatest wonders. I want to thank Ryan and Kiersten for being able to come home for Gram's birthday.....Hugs kids!

Random Things......

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Mom per Addie request, but let me just say we forgot candles for the cake. Goodness, we never could have put 75 on it....would have set off the smoke alarm, so we just pretended to blow out a candle. So here are the photo's of our choir singing "Happy Birthday"

Mom's Birthday

I have been away the past few days, the kids and I left on Friday and headed for Lubec to celebrate my Mothers 75th birthday. I have to say we had a beautiful to travel the sun was out and it was up in the middle 40's. I guess "Spring" is upon us. Will we arrived late afternoon to Mom's and they were waiting for us....the kids were glad to be able to get out and walk around and explore new territory and do some more business...hehehehe. We visited for awhile as our plan was to stay at my niece's house. I had promise the girls that Aunt Judy would be staying with them and Crystal has the room for us. This makes it much easier for my mother as well, especially with the furkinds. Will we arrived at Crystal bag and baggage...the girls are so excited...here comes the dogs........look out Addie it's Chester, you can hear Kelci yelling to Addie...so funny but cute. Chester loves kids, especially when he can give them kisses and they are big kisses....Bassetthound kisses...Sadie..will she is a little lady and has the attitude...leave me alone...I only want my mother. Crystal had ordered a birthday cake for Mom. I must upload a picture...now I had told Crystal nothing fancy...just basic...flowers...which worked out well as Cindy, this is the lady that made the cake, had company arrive...as it was her mother's birthday on Sunday and her sister came up from the south to celebrate it with the family. Will here is the picture. Cindy (Ross) Eaton, is one of my classmate's we graduate together. She has done Crystal's girls birthday cakes...does an awesome job. Thank you again Cindy.

Daylight Savings.....

I do have to say I like daylight savings but I don't like getting up at 2:30 in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep. Truly makes for a very long morning. I enjoy the extra time at night we get of light, but now I am getting itchy feet....I want to get outside and work my yard and see my flowers start popping up though the ground. The weather man says we have some warm weather coming starting tomorrow....I say count me in! I can handle some warmth. Next week I am going to start doing some "Spring cleaning" doesn't that sound exciting? I look back to see what I have done all winter and I got nothing done with my scrapbooking. I managed to get in allot of shoveling and more shoveling. The Hubs and I did some snowmobiling, something I have never done before in my life and I must say I truly enjoyed myself, ourselves and the company we kept in doing so. But now the time has come, I think it is time to put away the winter toys and think about getting the summer ones dusted off. Oh, I so hope the summer will be good to us. Only time will tell.

Long Time!!

Here we go again! It's been a month or more since I have updated...shame on me....I just do not where the time goes. We have had a few snow storms...oh yah! or oh yuck!...whatever one would perfect to say....me I just say I do not look forward to shoveling. This has been turly an old fashion winter...ones I remember as a child growing up. This was the last storm. I was up over my knees out on the decks, so you can imagine it took me awhile to shovel them off. Being retired you will always have something to do at home, if not inside out; whether it be winter or summer. I have one more I am going to upload. This is looking out from my doorsteps facing the driveway...what a view! I do have to say it really is pretty. Oh, guess what! today is the 1st of March and we are going to get another snow storm....only in Maine!

Cold Days.....

Gosh....the past couple of days have been so cold...I have been burning wood like nobody's business, but it is nice and warm here at the old Lodge. Will I have gotten Paul's new toy all insured, licensed and ready to go and he is just like a little boy with a new toy...unreal! I ordered him a jacket and I had to order a 2XL as it is a Canadian size and it goes from XL to 2XL and he has had the hardest time with the size.....he has talked to everyone he has seen...he don't understand why I ordered a 2XL....I had to get mad at him last night so he would stop talking about it. He is wearing a 2XL snow pant right now.....but, I would not trade him for nothing...will maybe....hehehehe.....just kidding. He has bought more things for this sled than I have for a Christmas tree. I hope he enjoys laying under it......I don't even have a picture to show you and I would love to because it has become the jewel most talked about. Will I must say though he does not asked for much and whatever he gets it always looks like new so this will last us both a life time so we are going to enjoy while our ride and the trails and good friends and make the most out of the Maine winter as we can. Maine is where it happens.

Time to Update....Don't you think.....

Well here we are in a New Year...gosh, I hope it proves to be somewhat better than last. It has been since November since I have been on my blog...this is awful but allot has happened...first I lost my laptop and had to order a new one which as you all know takes time. Will when I say I lost my laptop it has so much stuff on it that it just had no more room....and it was so slow that snails was passing it...will it's not going to happen with this one...believe me, we have so much room it's unreal. I have so say I have missed updating on different things....a few snow storms and when I say a few it's just what I mean..few! Well...not only did I make a purchase but Paul did as well, he bought himself a new snowmobile....will new to him...2003 600EFI Pantera Articat and it is loaded...these things come now just like a car or small SUV it is unreal...and yes it is for 2 people...so I will be riding with him. It is dark cherry in color and it is very pretty or course right now it is all covered up and in the garage where it is warm...you know boys and toys. Will anyway this is something he has wanted for a very long time, actually since he sold his last one...so now my guy has his sled and is very happy and I am glad for him. We are now searching for a little sled for the kids (dogs) for the back....one that will be enclosed so they can come with us. We went to Lubec for Christmas went up on Christmas Eve day and came back the day after Christmas, was very nice as I have not been home in 5 or 6 years. I got to see all the big kids which is all my nephews and there wives except for Bradley's as Katie was sick. I seen my little great nieces and oh they are just so precious all 5 of them...I enjoy them so much, just don't see them enough but the girls keep me updated on Facebook so I am very pleased with that. Ryan is going to be moving to St. John this month for his job so it will be awhile before I get to see him. It was just so nice to see all my kids big and small I just love them all. We stayed with my sister Sherry over on Campobello Island and she lives right on the ocean and believe me it is cold allot colder there than here...the doors froze right up on my car even Chester made his trips outside quick...hehehehe..Sadie was very past as well. I do have to say she felt out of sorts with all the kids and adults around, just too many....she likes it very low keyed. Well, I think I have gotten updated on what I have been doing......I have not been scrapping, that is another story...got to get my office cleaned up. I have been stacking my kits up as they come in so that is a chore coming right up to get that in order and get back to scrapping.

Still Updating...

Isn't it awful too wait so long before you update. It has been a very long time as well since I had made a layout until I started playing around with the digi scrapping which I am glad I did or I would have never gotten anything done. This is sad! Will anyway as I said in my other post I had moved onto a bigger kit and here it is.....single papers with a grunge frame than I added some pearl embellishments from another kit and the final touches was my text. I know it is nothing big at the moment but bare in mind, this old gal is just getting into the buzz of digi scrapping and it's a whole new world....but it's fun...
