Action on Chalet

Oh, we have been having a ball on the Chalet. Laura has allowed Kat to have an action for one of the ladies that belongs to the Chalet site who's child is very ill and has had numerous operations. I feel so bad she so young. There are approximately 20 items that we are bidding on and believe me we women when we see something and we want it we go for it. hehehe............it's fun thou. It makes you feel good to help someone that is so totally not excepting it but can use it. My heart aches for the family, no one wants to see there child go though anything like this. Oh, I won layout of the day on the 14Th of March with a picture of Selina and Zoe. One day soon I will learn how to put pictures on my site so you can all see them so you will know what I am referring too. Will I finally finished up my recipe cards for the swap I was entered into with 7 other ladies, I will be putting them in the mail tomorrow and sending them to Elise in AZ. I must say it was fun but I have got to slow down from entering too much right now because I have too much other scrapping too do and I don't like being over whelmed. Will I guess I am caught up for now so I will scrap on and wait for another layout to come along....................

Walmart Special

Today I had to do something that I truly do not enjoy at all, go to Walmart. Well I was in need of allot of cleaning supplies and pet supplies anyway just things that I normally to get at this place of madness. I have never gone to Walmart when the parking lot did not have at least 400 vehicles in it and the store itself twice the amount. This just is not my type of shopping, I would rather go to the dentist...........Really I would rather be shopping for scrap booking supplies........

Another Sunday

Today was a beautiful day weather wise and it did seem good after such a cold spell. Well I manage to only get three recipe cards scraped and I have four more left to do for the recipe swap that eight of us ladies are doing on the Chalet site; I am going to finish them up tomorrow so I can mail them off on Wednesday. I did go into the Garden Island this afternoon and tan and washed up my comforter and two big blankets. I went over to the Chalet and picked up my March kits and I am so looking forward to working with them I can not wait to get my recipe cards done. I had printed off some pictures of Selina that I think are going to go so well with the martini kit. Well that is about it for me until I get some scraping done.

Scrapping Afternoon

Oh, I finally made a little head way today on my scrap booking layouts, I managed to start two and in hopes to finish them up tomorrow and get started on another. I have a recipe swap going on to that has to be to Elise by March 20Th, which I have my recipes all typed out in the computer all I have to do is print them and fancy them up and send them off in the mail. I did not get started until late this afternoon with my projects but I did get allot done for what time I scrapped. I am looking forward to when I learn to load them on my blog it will make it more interesting. Paul and I went out for a late lunch today and than picked up a few things at the grocery store than I got home in my comfort zone and able to have my time for a change and it seem good as I have not had it this time for about a week or more and I truly missed it. Well I have to get Chester off the couch and get him outside and than we are off to bed, tomorrow is Sunday and we have to get up early and getting ready for church.

Design Team of the Chalet

I had to come back to my blog and jot down a few things. I was just reading in one of my past notes I posted. I had decided against applying for the Chalet design team at this time. I feel I still have allot to learn and I have things in scrap booking that I want to try and put on paper and show and right now I do not feel I am ready for a step that huge. I must say that we do have an incredible Design Team on the Scrapbook Chalet, these ladies rock, there designs are awesome. We are going to have ladies that will be doing cards and sketches and guest designers for each month. I know I sound just like a kid in a candy store with my hand in the candy jar, but I am excited. I wished I had my smiley's in here to use on my blog. I am trying to type and watch this movie on television with Matt Damon and Brendan Fraser in it, it's based back in 1955 but was made in 1992 and it's good, so if this does no sound like it made since watch the movie School Ties.

March 1st

Can you believe it! Where does the time go. Since I have retired my days go by so fast I just can not keep up. I got up this morning and done some house cleaning and paid the bills for the month had a late lunch than took a nap and than my shower and it is 10:30 at night. Well I am sure there was allot of other things I did in there as well but too many to name them all. I haven't done any scrap booking in a week now, however I did manage to print off some pictures last night so I am in hopes to get some scraping done here tomorrow and over the weekend. I have been wanting to get into my blog and write before now and here it is the first of a new month already. I have had allot going on lately with Chester, his leg as been bother him and he is limping, I hope it gets better soon as it really is bothering me. I love him so much and I would never want anything to happen to my little guy. My friend Kathy sent be some pictures of her sweet little princess goddess and I am going to scrap book them and start an album for Kathy of Selina. The pictures that Kathy sent me truly shows that she had a super time on her school vacation. Kathy and Mike really have missed her allot since she moved to her grandmothers, so I am glad she came to spend the week with them because they really love her allot. I printed allot of Paul's pictures of when he was a small child, so I would have them to scrap as well and also so he would have them as he does not have any pictures of when he was younger, so they should be really interesting to scrap. Well I am not going to try and catch up for all the time I lost in one night so I am going to save some for another night or day whatever the case may be, hopefully it won't be a month away.

Sun Day on the Lake

Well the sun is out and it has warmed up a little. We had a big snow storm Valentine's Day and we got around 18 inches or more of snow; what a day. I did manage to get some scrap booking done but not as much as I wanted to do. I finally finished up my layout of generations last night, all I had left to do is put on the journaling and the last few flowers. I started a new layout for this week and I think tomorrow I will finish that up, at least I hope. I have allot to do next week plus house work as well. I still have my layout for the month to do before the 28th. My saying "if there is a will there is a way" it will all come together. I really wish I had a place to set all my things up so I would not spend so much time sitting up and taking down. Today we have to go to a birthday gather for a gentleman that Paul knows very well, so I have to give him a hair cut and than iron our clothes. I am going to give Teri a call and see if Chester can stay with her while we go. I have got to learn how to post some of my work on my site because I know my sister's would love to read my blog and look at my pictures. Well I must close my post for now and get hubby's hair cut, get that out of the way and get busy.

Keeping Up

Will I am not doing very well in keep up with my blog, already I am falling behind.
I have had a lot of things going on here at home, new water filter installed, so that created allot of extra laundry for me to have to redo with rust remover and some loads I had to do twice, but anyway I am finally seeing the end of that, I believe tomorrow will finish that up. I have not finished my scrapbook projects for this week yet but I am in hopes to work on them some tomorrow if not Wednesday. I have to go with Paul tomorrow afternoon to Auburn on business. I have to get my fish tank cleaned sometime this week, now that we have the new filter installed, that will be a great project out of the way believe me. Chester has been doing great, I have to get his ears cleaned in the morning before we leave to go with Paul because they stink awful. I don't know what it is about bassetthounds but there ears you could clean every 2 days, honestly. Today I received the new Quoddy Tides and there was a picture in there of my mother and step-father of when they got married 44 years ago, imagine it, isn't that awesome. 1962 was when they got married, it was a very nice write up of them and a nice picture. I am going to cut it out and scrap it. As I was reading the Tides I came across an older article's of Lubec that I remember as a young girl growing up and I want to keep that as well so I can scrap it. When I read these it makes me think of how Lubec use to be and how it is today. It was such a busy little town, very active and now it is kind of sol em. Lubec is a very beautiful place, especially in the summer time. I enjoy going home to visit in the summer because I like going to the ocean, just can not get enough of that ocean air. Well I have gone on enough about my readings of the Quoddy Tides for tonight I must go off to bed it's getting very late and Chester is out for his finally walk about the yard.

Canvas Complete

Well I finally finished my piece of canvas today for the Survivor Challenge at the Scrapbook Chalet,the voting will be Wednesday night. I am happy with the way my canvas came out. I started off by painting the canvas, than I stamped a large lighthouse scene on to white card stock and than I colored and chalked the picture than I adhered that to the canvas with Memory Mount, put ribbon all around the picture so it looks like it's all in cased than from there I did the finally touches with the sky and the seagulls and my message to Paul for Valentine's Day, which read (You are my light, Happy Valentine's Day)this was put on a tag, decorated with ribbon and attached down in the corner so it does not look over powering. I had to do 2 Valentine's cards as well too, so I did one for friend and one for sister and they came out quit well, I was please with them as well. I was happy to finish these projects up today as I have some other things that I have to get done here in the house. The weather has been very cold today so I have been busy keep the old fire going in the fireplace and I guess tomorrown is going to be pretty much the same. I am glad I don't have to go anywhere. This was my day (Monday)

Challenges

Will this week in the Scrapbook Survivor Challenge we have 2 cards to do and a canvas(wall decor) to do. Will the canvas is new to me. Oh, I did no say it has to be a theme of Valentine's but not neccessarily hearts and red and white and all that stuff. So I am doing my canvas in something with a bite of a lighthouse spin to it, I vision it all in my head I only hope it comes out the way I envision it. This is a good challenge for me as I am going to challenge myself to try for one of the slots on the Design Team for the Scrapbook Chalet. I will be doing a layout and also I will be doing my jewelry box for my altered item. This all has to be completed and to Laura by Febuary the 28th. These things that I have to do are part of the if you will the resume portion for the Design Team slot. My projects so far this week are coming along fine I am enjoying putting them together. Will I am off got things to do scraping to get done.
